The Peninsula Valley Foundation was formed in 1997 but its preservation roots go back 50 years with founder Robert L. Hunker. The Foundation owns and maintains over 20 historic properties in Peninsula. Starting in the 1960s, these were purchased as dilapidated and endangered buildings and painstakingly restored with historical integrity. The Foundation also has a library consisting of a treasure trove of decorative arts books, local history archives, and hundreds of historic photographs of Peninsula and the Cuyahoga Valley. Most of these items are cataloged and available on the Foundation's website.

This institution is #69a on the locator map.
