The Lake county History Center, a beautifully wooded 15-acre site in Kirtland Hills, is home to an entire historic campus. The main building houses the Lake County Historical Society and its extensive research library, several display rooms, exhibit areas and gift shop. Outbuildings include an authentic log cabin, replicated one-room schoolhouse, craft barns and Native American site. The Little Mountain Folk Festival brings thousands of people in the last weekend in July for two days of arts and crafts, music and down-home goodies. October marks the annual clambake and myths, legends and ghost walk tours.
