Great Lakes lore is told through ship models, paintings, exhibitions and artifacts. The museum’s Clarence C. Metcalf Library is the largest library devoted to Great Lakes history. Also on site are the pilothouse from the 1905 Great Lakes steamship Canopus and a replica of the 1877 Vermilion lighthouse.
