Guided tours are available. Hours Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Wednesdays 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to l p.m.
The Society has as its purpose the preservation of the history and atmosphere of the New England village of Gates Mills. Begun in l905 and incorporated in l946, the non-profit corporation collects and preserves data involving the history, customs, useages and records of the community now known as the Village of Gates Mills. They erected and maintained a museum for the preservation of such data and the dissemination of such data by meeting, publication and other means The Southwick house on North River was acquired and moved to its present site on Old Mill Road to be used as a village park/playground by the famous village pump.
