The building located on North Street, one block north of Euclid Avenue at Chardon, was built as Euclid's first high school and was used for that purpose until l913 when Euclid Central and Shore High Schools were opened. The "North Street School" was sold and converted to a multi-family dwelling until l975 when it was acquired by our city. After extensive renovation by city workers, the museum was opened to the public on May 12,1984.The purpose of the organization is to promote interest in the history of Euclid, operate a museum to exhibit items of historic interest, and collect and compile historical records and facts. Monthly meetings are held at the museum on the third Tuesday., September through May. Programs are selected to implement the purpose of the Society. The public is always welcome.
