The recently expanded Museum is located on the first floor of the renovated
Rocky River Public Library. It features art pottery created in Lakewood and
Rocky River, Ohio, by R. Guy Cowan and the Cowan Pottery Studio from
1913-1931. Prominent studio artists included Alexander Blazys, Edris Eckhardt, Waylande Gregory, Thelma Frazier Winter, and Viktor Schreckengost. Styles
ranged from Arts and Crafts to Art Deco. Items on display at the Cowan Pottery Museum include vases, bookends, bowls, candlesticks, figures, lamp bases, ceramic sculptures, and the famous Jazz Bowl by Viktor Schreckengost.
