MeMA Annual Meeting
Chicago, Illinois
Wednesday, May 7 Thursday, May 8, 2014

Please join us in Chicago for the 2014 MeMA annual meeting at the American College of Surgeons, May 7 and 8. We are meeting jointly with the Archivists and Librarians in the History of the Health Sciences and together we have planned an outstanding lineup of sessions and tours. Attached to this message is the registration form. You'll notice that this year the officers of both organizations have decided to combine their registration forms. The form attached to this message is specific to MeMA, however, as per the instructions on the form, both the form and payment should be sent to ALHHS.
This year there are a number of tours available. including a special tour of the International Museum of Surgical Science on Wednesday afternoon, May 7th. This should be quite exciting. Please note there are special instructions for registering for the tour. I might also add that there are only 30 spots available so you should preregister as soon as possible.
Please refer to the ALHHS Watermark for information about hotels. ( The Hyatt Chicago Magnificent Mile is closest to the ALHHS/MeMA meeting site. With a AAA discount the nightly rate is $197.
This is also the time to renew your MeMA membership. You will find the dues form on the MeMA website. ( Please note that this form is separate from the meeting registration form. The dues form and payment (made payable to MeMA) should be sent to the address on the form. Do not include your dues payment with your meeting registration.
You will notice that the option to pay European Association dues through MeMA is no longer available. EAMHMS now has its own website and dues can be paid online by credit card.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions about the meeting or MeMA membership.
See you in the windy city!
