The European Association of Museums of the
History of Medical Sciences Bulletin Archive

The Association Européenne des Musées d'Histoire des Sciences Médicales / European Association of Museums of the History of Medical Sciences was established in France in 1984 to facilitate communication within the community of medical museums throughout Europe.  Principal objectives of the Association include development of exhibitions about the history of medical sciences and establishment of scientific criteria for collecting and presentation of artifacts.  The Association meets every other year for a Congress to address issues of common concern, to present the fruit of research in our respective collections, and to promote international exchange and collaboration among medical history museums.  The Association, although nominally European, today attracts participation from around the world and is thus the leading international body of medical museums and collections.
