Undergraduate/Graduate Student Training
This training focuses on gender-based stereotyping and differential expectations of male and female faculty members. It will be conducted by Dorothy Miller, Women's Center Director and assisted by a graduate student.
ADVANCE Opportunity Grant
All women faculty, including instructors and research faculty, are eligible to apply for Opportunity grants. These grants provide support for current or proposed projects and activities where funding is difficult to obtain through other sources. Learn more: ADVANCE Opportunity Fund (PDF)
Endowed Professorships
5 endowed chairs will be created to attract women faculty to the University. One chair will be designated for each of the 4 participating schools and one for any school on a competitive basis.
Minority pipeline
Faculty exchange with Fisk University - ACES sponsors one exchange of S&E women faculty annually, in which the Fisk faculty member spends one semester at Case and the Case faculty member gives a 2 week short course at Fisk University. Our second ACES pipeline initiative is a summer research program for S&E minority women undergraduate and masters level students.l hiring network
We are establishing a web-based network with colleges, universities, research institutions, industries, professional organizations, economic development groups, and relocation firms in the greater Cleveland/Northeast Ohio area in an effort to share this information to all faculty candidates during recruiting visits.
