Hello! Thank you for visiting the Case Western Reserve University Summer Session website. We are glad you are here! For Summer 2010, we are offering a roster of courses that will help undergraduate and graduate students progress towards graduation and will provide non-degree students with exciting opportunities for enrichment.
Once again, we encourage students to consider taking a three-week May Term course that runs May 10-27, 2010. Most of the courses are experiential in nature and take advantage of the longer class meeting times to take students into the community. Please follow the link to May Term on the home page to learn more about these summer-only opportunities for study.
Beginning June 1, we have four summer sessions. Most classes fall within the eight-week June 1-July 27 session and the six-week June 15-July 26 session. This year, we have added even more classes to the five week session that runs June 1-July 2. Classes will not be held on Monday, July 5. The four week session that accommodates the second sequential session begins on Tuesday, July 6.
Case welcomes visiting students from other colleges and universities, recent high school graduates, and adults seeking enrichment to join Case students in the summer session. Our credits transfer easily to other colleges and universities. Summer is the ideal time to focus on challenging courses or broaden your horizons by taking something new. We offer a full range of introductory courses in the humanities, arts, social sciences, math, science, engineering, and accounting. Students can complete in one summer a full year of introductory chemistry, organic chemistry, and physics, all held in two intensive sequential sessions. Best of all, summer tuition for courses numbered 1-399 is half that of the academic year.
Summer is a great time to be at Case. The campus is beautiful, students eager, faculty engaged, and the atmosphere relaxed. Situated as we are in the heart of University Circle, summer is a wonderful time to take advantage of the Circle's museums and cultural offerings. Please contact me if you have questions.
I look forward to seeing you in May, June, and July!
Sincerely yours,
Molly Berger
