PSCL 453 CRITICAL THINKING IN RESEARCH
JUNE 12 - July 26 (7 weeks)
TUES and THURS 2:00-4:30 p.m.
Room: TBA

The goal of Dr. Fagan's workshop is to facilitate a statement of your research ideas in the form of a grant proposal. Through exercises and discussion, your ideas will be elicited, refined, and conveyed in speech and in writing. A first draft of your grant will be critiqued. The critiques will provide a basis for preparing a final proposal. All readings will be provided.

Information on how to apply and register is found at the bottom of this page.

This course requires the consent of the instructor. Please see below for directions for requesting permission through SIS.  Permission requests must be processed through SIS, not via email to Professor Fagan.

Faculty from all the major academic divisions at Case who have taken Dr. Fagan's course have brought in some $45 million in total costs over a 22-year period. Dr. Fagan has been awarded grants from various divisions of the NIH, the NSF, the Edison Biotechnology project, the Spencer Foundation, SBIR's 1 and 2, and research contracts from private industry. He has served as a grant reviewer for numerous public and private granting agencies. Finally, he served as chair of the Institutional Review Board at Case for 22 years.
