Tim Mueller is a progressive visionary who, back in the early 90s, capitalized on the Internet's growing commercial applications. As CEO and co-founder of Vantage One Communications, Mueller accomplished numerous "firsts" by uniting non-linear communications with the untapped muscle of the World Wide Web. Mueller was named "Entrepreneur of the Year" by USA TODAY/NASDQ/Ernst & Young in 1997 and received the "Pillar Award" for community service by the Small Business Network in 1999. After expanding his firm nationally, he sold Vantage One in November of 1999. For three years (2002-2004), Mueller served on Cleveland Mayor Jane Campbell's executive staff as Chief Development Officer, leading the charge on initiatives in Economic Development, City Planning, Community Development, Workforce Development and Building & Housing. He attracted the largest payroll in 35 years to the City when SYSCO Foods built its new $60mm distribution center, and directed the City's support of the rebirth of E.4th Street. Mueller was named to the Crain's Cleveland Business list of most influential people in Northeast Ohio, and Inside Business magazine's "Power 100" list of most powerful people in Northeast Ohio. Today, Mueller leads a team of world-class scientists and business professionals at PHYlogy who are changing the landscape of how broadband is delivered through traditional telephone lines. |
